This form is provided for the purpose of meeting the Ordinance listed below.
In accordance with the Town of Melbourne Beach Ordinance, Chapter 49, Article V, Section 49-55, Paragraph (a) "...upon default by the mortgagor or prior to the issuance of a notice of default of the property... the mortgagee shall register the property with the Town Manager, or the Town Manger’s designee, on forms provided by the town..."
Paragraph (d) includes "...the local property manager shall be responsible for the inspection, security and maintenance of the property. The local contact person, who may be contacted by the Town and is named in the registration, shall be located within Brevard County and available Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. (Holidays and lunch hours excluded.)"
The registration and inspection requirements shall be met prior to the mortgage default declaration and must be met within 10 days of the mortgagee's actual declaration of default.
Registration is required regardless of whether or not the property remains occupied at the time of default declaration.
