Activities:

  • Met with Town Attorney to discuss development of an Agreement between the Town of Melbourne Beach and Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

 

  • Met with representative of Holy Name of Jesus School to discuss special event proposed for Ryckman Park.

 

  • Attended Planning and Zoning meeting. Actions taken include:

 

1.)    Finalized recommendation of an Ordinance to amend portions of the Land Development Code regulating walls and fences. To be presented for Town Commission consideration at its regular meeting to be held January 23, 2008.

 

2.)    Finalized recommendation of an Ordinance to amend portions of the Land Development Code providing for breezeways for oceanfront properties in the 5-RMO, 6-B, and 9-I zoning districts. To be presented for Town Commission consideration at its regular meeting to be held January 23, 2008.

 

3.)    Developed recommendation regarding side setback requirements for 60' wide residential building lots. To be presented for Town Commission consideration at its regular meeting to be held January 23, 2008.

 

4.)    Discussed development of an Ordinance amending the description and location of the coastal construction control line recognized by the Town of Melbourne Beach.

 

5.)    Tabled discussions regarding the application of "green" building techniques for the Town of Melbourne Beach.
