Activities:

  • Met with resident to discuss proposed breezeway ordinance for a property located in the 5-RMO zoning district.

 

  • Attended executive session of the Town Commission to discuss litigation between the Town of Melbourne Beach and the Chevron Station.

 

  • Attended the Brevard County Summit presented by LEAD Brevard. Discussion topics included pending property tax reform, school concurrency, and best practices employed by local government.

 

  • Attended presentation by Bank of America for Town employees to receive information regarding available banking service.

 

  • Attended progress meeting with Project Engineer, and Contractor to discuss Oak Street Pedway Corrective Action Plan.

 

  • Public Works staff completed eradication of weeds along Ocean Avenue Beautification Project.

 

  • Contractor initiated construction of Ryckman House porch.

 

  • Attended Planning and Zoning Board meeting. Actions taken include:

 

               1.)    Recommended adoption of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report to

                       the Town Commission. To be considered by the Town Commission

                       at its regular meetin got be held on December 19, 2007.

 

               2.)    Discussed an ordinace amending breezeway requirements contained

                        in the Town Code of Ordinances. To be considered by the Planning

                        & Zongs Board at its December 23, 2007 meeting.

 

             3.)    Discussed development of ordinances allowing dogs in outside dining

                      areas of restaurants. To be considered by the Planning & Zoning

                      Board at its December 3, 2007 meeting.

 

             4.)     Initiated discussion on side setback requirements for residences on

                      60' wide lots.
